Important: Admission to the Allied Health Science Courses at SIMSAR is strictly based on the eligibility norms prescribed by The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and the Government of Tamil Nadu.
📋 General Eligibility
  • Candidates must be Indian citizens.
  • Candidates must satisfy the Nativity, Community, and Academic requirements.
  • Students must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent with required subjects and marks.
  • Applicants must be medically fit to undergo the program.
Age Requirements
  • The minimum age for admission is 17 years as on 31st December of the admission year.
  • A grace period of 15 days beyond the cut-off date is accepted.
  • There is no upper age limit, unless specified by the University.

Higher Secondary Qualification
Candidates must have passed all subjects in the Higher Secondary Course (HSC) from:
  • Tamil Nadu State Board
  • CBSE
  • Any recognized board equivalent to the State Board
Mandatory Subjects
The qualifying exam must include:
Physics Chemistry Biology Botany & Zoology
Marks Requirement
  • Candidates must satisfy the minimum aggregate marks prescribed by the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University.
  • Students who received grade-based marks must submit an authenticated statement of actual marks from their school/board.
Not Eligible
  • Vocational stream students are not eligible for admission.
  • Students from other state boards (except TN State Board & CBSE) must obtain an Eligibility Certificate from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University.

For Tamil Nadu Natives
  • Must submit a valid Nativity Certificate issued by the Tamil Nadu Revenue Authority.
  • Permanent Residence Certificates are NOT accepted.
  • If studied in Tamil Nadu from 6th to 12th, both Nativity Certificate and Community Certificate must be submitted to claim reservation.
  • Failure to submit the Community Certificate will result in the candidate being treated under Open Category (OC).
Tamil Nadu Natives Studied Outside Tamil Nadu
Must submit:
  • Candidate's Nativity Certificate
  • Parent's Nativity Certificate
  • Parent's Community Certificate from Tamil Nadu
Non-Natives Studied in Tamil Nadu
  • Must submit Bonafide Certificates from 6th–12th standard.
  • Will be considered under Open Category (OC).
  • Community Certificates from other states will not be accepted.
Scheduled Tribe (ST) Claimants
  • Must upload Community Certificate issued by an authority not below the rank of Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO).
Important: Invalid or unverified certificates will lead to:
  • Cancellation of admission
  • Expulsion
  • Possible legal action

Applicable Special Categories
Ex-Servicemen Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Third Gender Candidates
Third Gender Eligibility
  • Candidates identifying as female must submit:
    • Self-declaration
    • Valid ID card issued by the Tamil Nadu Third Gender Welfare Board
  • They will be considered under Female Category for allotment.
PWD Reservation
  • 5% seats reserved within each category for Persons with Disabilities.

Selection is based on merit following the Rule of Reservation:

  • Prepared based on marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Botany & Zoology.
  • Marks normalized as per Tamil Nadu Act No. 3 of 2007.

Important Note
  • ST candidates must upload RDO-level Community Certificate.
  • Incorrect or fraudulent certificate uploads will lead to admission cancellation and legal action.

Visit the official admission portal.

Register using mobile number & email ID.

Fill the online application form carefully.

Upload all the required certificates in the prescribed format.

Pay the Application Fee: Rs. 500/- through the bank payment gateway.

Submit the form—no changes will be allowed after submission.

Take a printout or save the acknowledgment.
Important
  • Submit only ONE application.
  • Multiple applications will result in only one being considered.

Upload documents clearly scanned and readable.
Use PDF/JPEG formats only (as instructed on the portal).
Ensure the document file size is within the allowed limit.
Name the files appropriately before uploading.
Do NOT upload blurred or partial certificates.
Incorrect uploads will lead to rejection of the application.
Follow these guidelines carefully to avoid application rejection

All admissions follow the norms prescribed by the official State Counselling Authority.
Seats will be allotted based on merit + reservation + choice filling.
Candidates must report in person to the allotted college with original documents.
Only those who join after the first phase are eligible for subsequent rounds.
No mutual transfers or individual change-of-college requests will be entertained.
Candidates and parents are responsible for ensuring:
  • Authenticity of certificates
  • Timely verification of community certificates
  • Compliance with University norms
