Established in *2018, the institution operates under the aegis of the **Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University* and is recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu and the Tamil Nadu Nursing & Midwives Council.

Located on a sprawling *120-acre campus* at Pullipalayam, Sankari–Tiruchengode State Highway, SIMSAR offers an inspiring and academically vibrant environment that blends modern medical education with hands-on clinical exposure. The college houses state-of-the-art laboratories, smart classrooms, a resource-rich library, and advanced clinical training facilities.

About the Trust*

Sri Shanmugha Institute of Medical Science & Research is sponsored by the *Sri Shanmugha Educational & Charitable Trust, founded under the visionary leadership of **Thiru K. Shanmugham*, Chairman of the Trust.
The Trust is dedicated to advancing education, healthcare, and community welfare through high-quality institutions known for their academic integrity, modern infrastructure, and student-centric philosophy.
Under the guidance of its leadership team—*Chairman Thiru K. Shanmugham, Vice-Chairman Thiru S. Prabhakar, and Executive Director Thiru A. Thirumoorthy*—the Trust has established multiple institutions spanning engineering, technology, nursing, pharmacy, and allied health sciences.

Launch of six AHS departments; first batch began academic and clinical training.

2019

Rapid expansion of student intake and clinical tie-ups with leading hospitals.

2020

All departments fully established with structured academic frameworks and online learning support.

2022–2024

Strong academic stability, departmental celebrations, research activities, and national-level achievements.

2025

Leadership under Dr. Shabana Begum M., new MoUs, international partnerships, MSME projects, and student excellence in events and research.
